Celeb Designer: This season, it’s all about Marc Jacobs handbags.

January 28, 2006
by Breezy @ 1:07 am in Celeb Designers

This season, Marc Jacobs purses has replaced the classic Louis Vuitton as the celeb must-have bag. These bags are oversized and luxurious, something the stars love. Below, Jessica Simpson, Mischa Barton, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie make their choices among the many designs to choose from.

Want to get your own? They are expensive, but well worth it. Check out the Marc Jacobs Collection at Net a Porter (especially the New Season stuff) and at eluxury.com. Hurry, they are selling fast. Mischa Barton’s black Marc Jacobs bag is already sold out (but you can still get it in white, see below)!

Jessica Simpson sports the Marc Jacobs Brigitte handbag, available at Net a Porter and eluxury.

Lindsay Lohan chose the classic Marc Jacobs Blake design in beige. You can get this bag from Net a Porter (in green) or from eluxury (in metallic, as shown).

Mischa Barton carries her Marc Jacobs Venetia handbag everywhere- you can no longer get the black one online but I like the white one better, available at eluxury.

Nicole Richie likes the perforated look, choosing a Marc Jacobs Leather Flap Bag, which you can get at eluxury.com in white.

At the recent premiere of Something New in L.A., Gabrielle Union wore this gorgeous jersey gown by T-bags.

I love this look because it shows that you don't have to be uncomfortable to look unbelievably sexy!

Do you love the easy elegance of this dress? Well you are in luck, Net a Porter is having a sale on all their T-bags attire! Check out these great choices:

You could easily wear this T-bags halter gown ($135 US, reg. $225) to a big event or pair it with some flip flops and wear it to the grocery store! The deep-v neck makes it super sexy and the beading adds a little something special.

The wide belt on this T-bags belted jersey dress ($114 US, reg. $190) is a hot celeb look, pair it with some boots for winter!

The sexy tunic is always in style, and this T-bags sparkle kurta ($102 US, reg. $170) is great. The sequin detail is a perfect way to add sparkle to your day look.

Celeb Events: How celebs bundle up for cold weather- fashions of the Sundance Film Festival.

January 25, 2006
by Breezy @ 2:51 am in Celeb Events

For everyone that lives in the frigid north, you know that staying warm and looking good do not always go hand in hand. You also know that fashion is the last thing you’re thinking about when you set foot outside on those below-zero mornings.

Fortunately, we have smart celebs like Lucy Liu, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston to show us that winter wear doesn’t have to leave us looking like a Michelin Man (something I was actually called by a well-meaning individual).

Here’s all you need to look like a celeb no matter how low the temperatures may drop:

A puffy jacket:

Whether going skiing or traveling to a frigid destination, these puffy jackets will never go out of style because they’re the only coats that really keep you warm. You know how celebs hate to be uncomfortable (I know I do!), so it’s no wonder they're all wearing these to stay cozy.

Overstock.com and amazon.com have designer jackets at amazing, discounted prices!

Check these out:

The Steve Madden Hooded Down Jacket ($89.99, 35% off)icon is a great match for Lucy Liu’s cute fur-collared look.

The Paul Smith Puffa Jacket ($180, reg. $300) mimics Jennifer Aniston’s black style.

The Ten West Hooded Jacket ($41.99)icon is similar to Shannon’s Elizabeth’s, and what a great price!

A pair of white winter boots:

White is actually a hot color for winter! Boots are no exception, and these are sure to keep your feet warm and, more importantly, dry.

For Lucy Liu’s look, the akademiks Blizzard boots ($148.95) are a perfect match.

The Timberland Picudilla boots ($183.95) are just like Shannon Elizabeth's.

A super-long scarf (stripes optional)

When it comes to scarves this season, it’s the longer the better. Stripes are the hottest look (see Eve, Shannon Elizabeth, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Lucy Liu and Robert Downey Jr.’s wife), but great monochrome ones are always in style (see Jennifer Aniston).

Try the Stripe Cashmere Scarf by Kashmere ($74.99, 50% off) (below) for this look, and don’t forget to check out the other great cashmere scarves available at amazon.com.

Celeb cold-weather fashion tragedy: Maggie Gyllenhaal

The problem with Maggie’s look? The jacket is too long and shapeless, very unflattering. How could she fix it? Add a belt or ribbon to create a waist!

Trends Gone Wrong: Cindy Crawford in a metallic monstrosity!

January 22, 2006
by Breezy @ 6:13 pm in Trends Gone Wrong

Oh Cindy, what were you thinking when you wore this Munthe “gown” to the Stephen Knoll hair care launch party? It looks like you got in a cat fight on the way there and someone ripped off the bottom half. Not that the top has much going for it either- it huggs in all the wrong places! Please, even if you have a body like Cindy Crawford’s, don’t just assume you’ll look good in anything, because you won’t!

Want to wear the sparkle trend right? Check out my post on celebs wearing sequins.

Celeb Inspiration: Steal Lindsay Lohan’s casual look- it’s classy with an edge.

January 21, 2006
by Breezy @ 5:56 am in Celeb Styles

Lindsay Lohan’s look revolves around mixing trends with more classic pieces. Take, for example, her pairing of flashy gold flats with a ladylike quilted handbag. Or, her nautical outfit- where she wore her plum suede boots with an un-fussy white cardigan and neutral Marc Jacobs bag. You can steal her look, just get these 6 key pieces and mix and match.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1. A big purse

Lindsay almost always carries a fairly large purse during the day, the Metallic Blake by Marc Jacobs or a Dior Rasta Bag are perfect matches for Lohan’s look.

2. A great jacket or cardigan

It’ll pull your look together and keep you warm. The Marc Jacobs Tweed Jacket (on sale!, below, left) and the Collection K White Cardigan (on sale too!, below, right) are great choices.

3. A loose-fitting blouse

Comfy but still sexy, need I say more? The T-bags jersey top (below, left) and the Viktor and Rolf Cotton and Silk Blend Top (below, right) will get you the look.

4. Skinny jeans

Lindsay loves her jeans, and this style is the hottest look in denim this season. Try the Marc Jacobs Skinny Jeans (below, left) or the Sass & Bibe Frayed Skinny Jeans (below, right).

5. A pair of low-heeled boots

The Paul Green Nookie Boots(below, left) or the Timberland Beauli Plum Boots (below, right) will keep you comfortable and stylish while trekking around the city.

6. Aviator sunglasses

Lindsay wears her’s in many sizes and colors, but they’re almost always aviator frames. Get these Marc Jacobs Sunglasses (below) for her look.

Celeb Styles: A Mermaid dress creates a stunning silhouette.

January 20, 2006
by Breezy @ 1:51 am in Celeb Styles

As a little girl I loved to watch Splash and The Little Mermaid, I wanted nothing more then to become a mermaid myself. They are portrayed as beautiful, mystical creatures- which is exactly how you will look in a mermaid-inspired gown. Aren’t Kate Beckinsale and Rebecca Romijn stunning in their’s?

You can find two gorgeous mermaid gowns at amazon.com- the Vera Wang Black Sateen Gown ($288, reg. $575) (below, left) has a great back and the David Meister Taffeta Gown ($229, reg. $550) (below, right).
