The Celeb Life - Your guide to the rich and glamorous

The life of a celebrity. We all wish we could have it (minus the paparazzi and lack of privacy). I’m here to tell you that you can. We all can. It starts with attitude - you have to believe that you deserve it. We are all every bit as worthy to have the style, the privileges and the luxuries granted upon celebrities. Once you know this, check The Celeb Life daily for tips on how to dress, vacation, shop and live like a celebrity!

Celeb Styles: The 60's are back, and so am I.

After a much needed vacation, I have returned to muse on celeb styles. Lately I have noticed a return to the 60's with flowy dresses and tops taking center stage. Despite their lack of shape, these dresses have a whimsical quality I love. And, the best part about them is their looseness makes them extremely forgiving.

And, if you want to add a little shape, tie a belt or ribbon to define your waist.

Here are some of my favorite celeb looks:

You can get the Chloe dress worn by Natalie Portman at Net a Porter.com:

You can also get these two beautiful celeb-worthy dresses from Net-a-Porter.com, the Chloe Crystal Trimmed Dress and the Catherine Malandrino Floral Trim Dress:

Celeb Events: The best and worst dresses of the Academy Awards.

I have to admit I wasn't very impressed with any of the dresses worn at the Academy Awards on March 5, 2006. However, being such an important even I figured I would give you my choices for the best and worst...

Let's start with my favorites:

As you can see, I like when actresses play with color and new shapes, simple black is just too boring for such a special event.

Those that looked okay, nothing special:

What were they thinking?

But this is just my opinion, please give me you comments on who you thought looked the best and worst on Oscar night!!!

Celeb Styles: Stripes are hot with Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan.

Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan are really hopping aboard the nautical trend with their striped looks...

You can easily copy their style with these great shirts:

The Chloe striped boat-neck top (below, left) or the Moschino Cheap & Chic striped polo top (below, right) are definetly celeb-worthy items. The Moschino top is only available in extra small, on sale for $130.

Want something a little less expensive? Head over to the Gap and pick up their favorite long-sleeved striped T (below).

Celeb Styles: If you are a celeb, you've gotta have tons of shades.

by Breezy @ 3:12 am in Celeb Styles

Hello celeb ladies, I was recently asked by a reader to do a post on celeb eyewear. With summer just around the corner (and it feels like it has already arrived where I am), I was more then happy to oblige. Of course, it doesn't matter what time of year it is, celebs always protect their eyes from the sun.

Here are some of the hot celeb looks right now (and how you can copy them):

Round Frames-

Gotta love the classic Jackie-O look Ashley Olsen and Britney Spears are wearing. For a luxurious pair to last a lifetime, get the Tom Ford Marissa Sunglasses (below, top) or the Juicy Couture Jackie Sunglasses (below, bottom), at eluxury.com.

Oversized Frames (with Gradient Lenses)-

The oversized look is still going strong this season, get them in black, tortoise-shell or even white and make sure they have gradient lenses for the hottest look. The Tom Ford Hutton Sunglasses (below, top) or the Dior Couture Sunglasses (below, bottom) are excellent investments.

Wrap Frames-

Wrap, or even just slightly wrapped (like Lindsay Lohan's) are also hot this season. Get the look with the Dior Overshine Sunglasses (below, top), which are like Gwyneth Paltrow's, or the Your Dior Sunglasses (below, bottom).

Aviator Frames-

Don't like plastic frames? Try these great metal ones, the Fendi Aviator Sunglasses (below).

and just because you are a celeb doesn't mean you have to wear something trendy.....

Katie Holmes and Julia Roberts stick to classic, smaller shades that flatter their face shape.
