Celeb Styles: Do you dare wear short shorts?

April 23, 2006
by Breezy @ 4:10 pm in Celeb Styles

If you've got great legs like these celebs you should never be afraid to go super short, live a little! After all, as Katherine Hepburn said- 'we have to face your fears or else we get soggy.' So true!

The shorter the better and be sure to pair the look with some great platforms or a pair of wedges for a great summer '06 look.

If you want a designer look for less cash, I would head over to yoox.us. I found these great looks there (below from left to right)- Habitual Denim Shorts, Sophia Kokosalaki Shorts and Stussy shorts:

As for your footwear, you will definitely find the best ones at Net a Porter, like these celeb-worthy styles (below from left to right)- the Christian Louboutin Lady Zeppa Wedges ($739), the Kors by Micheal Kors Bandana Wedges ($235) and the Burberry Prorsum Woburn Patent Sandals ($440).

Celeb Styles: The stars are pretty in pink.

April 22, 2006
by Breezy @ 1:34 am in Celeb Styles

I simply adore pink because I think it is the most universally flattering color out there. Apparently, I am not the only one that thinks so. Celebs are now donning pink gowns for their big events, check out Eva Longoria, Petra Nemcova, Madonna and Elizabeth Hurley below! They all look so beautiful, even Madonna made a good choice.

For a sweet pink dress of your own, think about these two designer frocks at Net a Porter. To the left is the Alberta Ferretti Satin Empire Dress ($1410) and to the right is the Thakoon Cut-Out Detail Dress ($1075). I love them both but the Thakoon dress is particularly unique.

Celeb Styles: Another surprise celeb trend, polka-dots!

April 20, 2006
by Breezy @ 1:57 am in Celeb Styles

Many people are not brave enough to wear polka-dots. They are often associated with bad 80's fashion. But, I always thought Minnie Mouse looked kinda cut in her's. Whatever you might think of them, they are definetly becoming a big trend among celebs, especially in chic black and white. Check out Sarah Jessica Parker, Keira Knightley, Carmen Electra and Ashlee Simpson in their divine polka-dotted looks:

You must be thinking, where can I find the perfected spotted dress. I will look unique, cute and gorgeous. Well check these two out, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Silk Polka-Dot dress (left) and the Diane Von Furstenburg Shainia One-Shoulder dress (another hot celeb trend, right):

Celeb Styles: The flapper look is back... again.

April 18, 2006
by Breezy @ 11:47 pm in Celeb Styles

Well I have to say I'm a litte surprised but it seems that the flapper look is back again. I like the look for the same reason I like Halloween, it is like pretending to be someone else or to be living in another era. It is always fun to play dress-up, no matter how old you are, just like Keira Knightley who chose the look for her birthday/costume party and on March 26th.

Liv Tyler wore a great black flapper-style frock with feather detailing at the hem to the launch of the Givenchy makeup brand. And lately, I noticed Fergie and Lindsay Lohan wear similar looks.

This beautiful Moschino Cheap & Chic Chiffon Tiered Dress ($1085) was recently worn by Jessica Alba -

Celeb Styles: The toga look.

April 15, 2006
by Breezy @ 7:43 pm in Celeb Styles

In the mood for a toga party? Well even if you are way past college age you can still pull off the toga-inspired gown. The feminine drapes of fabric will definetly make you feel like a Greek godess. I love the look on Maria Bello, Gwen Stefani, Lucy Liu, Alicia Silverstone and Mischa Barton.

You can get the Grecian look with these gorgeous designer dresses by Alberta Ferretti, Matthew Williamson, and Temperley:

I love the new short-sleeved jackets and boleros that celebs are wearing this season. They are ultra-cute and great for wearing over a slinky evening dress.

The Bolero

These matador-inspired jackets will get you this celeb-worthy look:

These cute jackets are all excellent choices if you want to get this look:

I noticed this look on both Mandy Moore and Jessica Alba lately and I thought it looked surprisingly cute. What do you think?

To get Mandy's look a love this one-shoulder dress from Roland Mouret, which you can purchase at Net-a-Porter, is fabulous.
