Floral patterns can often be too cutsey and overwhelming. By coloring them black and white you mellow them but still keep the femininity of the flower.
I recently spotted Courtney Cox in this cute black and white dress and knew I had seen it somewhere before. Turns out it is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Sumi Dress, available at Net a Porter for only $328!
The black and white floral trend is really hot with all the celebs. Check out Carmen Electra, Heather Graham and Jessica Simpson showing that their are a myriad of different pattern possible for this look.
