Trends Gone Wrong: Kate Hudson in a Folkloric Pattern
Just to prove that even "real" celebs can get it wrong, I've included the following picture of Kate Hudson at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Elizabethtown.
Not that I really have to explain what is wrong with this outfit, but I will. All celebs should know that just because it is a trend does not mean it is going to look good on you. It is equally as true that wearing multiple trends is not usually a great idea. Below, Kate is mixing the trend of wearing a rich folkloric pattern with velvet, another trend for Fall 2005. The dress (or is it a jumper, I can't tell) has a very dull pattern- in fact, it looks like some bedsheets we had in my house as kid. Just compare it to the bold, interesting patterns seen on Paris Hilton and Sanaa Lathan. That is not to mention the fact that it is completely unflattering and shapeless.
So lesson to all of us celebs: always wear clothes that are flattering and don't mix too many trends together.
